Six Months Business Update: The Real Numbers

August 15, 2025

I’m coming up on six months since starting my business, and it’s time for a brutally honest update.

Here are our actual revenue numbers, our ambitious goals for the future, and the raw truth about what’s working and what’s keeping me up at night.

The Numbers

Here’s how we’ve performed over our first six months:

Now let me share the goals we’ve set for ourselves.

2025 Revenue Projections:

  • Bear Case: $400k
  • Base Case: $425k
  • Upside Case: $500k

2026 Revenue Projections:

  • Bear Case: $600k
  • Base Case: $850k
  • Upside Case: $1M

These aren’t just wishful thinking. They’re based on real market research and the momentum we’re building every single day.

What’s Working

The market opportunity becomes clearer with every passing month, and I’m more confident than ever that we’re onto something big. We’re adding a second truck to our fleet soon, which should be a game-changer for our capacity.

On the commercial side, we’re building solid relationships that I know will pay dividends down the road. The math is encouraging too. A sustainable 20% net profit should be completely doable next year once we have that second truck on the road full time.

I’m also slowly implementing operational processes that actually fit my working style, which has been a relief after trying to force systems that just didn’t work for me.

The Challenges

But let’s be real about the struggles. I’m genuinely scared about generating enough demand to fill this second truck. Growth is exciting, but it’s also terrifying when you’re betting on your ability to deliver.

Doing everything myself is both exciting and exhausting. I can’t wait to start building a team around myself and delegate some of these responsibilities.

This month is looking pretty weak, if I’m being honest. I’ll be lucky if I hit $45k in top line revenue. And I’m doing a terrible job getting Google reviews, which I know is going to bite me next year when potential customers are researching us online.

Conclusion

Six months in, and the journey is everything I expected and nothing like I planned. The revenue goals are ambitious but achievable. The challenges are real but manageable. And every month, I’m learning something new about this business and about myself as an entrepreneur.
